In early May 2013, IHFI carried out two specialized training courses, one on advanced battery, inverter and generator concepts for hospital energy technicians, and another on battery failure and inverter wiring for local energy system installers.

HUEH Maternity Ward Rehabilitation

 The IHFI project has completed electrical work in the HUEH maternity ward, which included the installation of a new backup generator and inverter/battery system, as well as general wiring, lighting and air conditioning.

Guyana  

Guyana Rural Health Clinic PV Installation

In early April 2013, IHFI completed the installation of 12 solar PV systems at 9 different remote health clinics in Guyana.  Installers by local vendors, IHFI designed and inspected the systems and then trained facility workers to safely maintain them.

Georgetown Public Hospital Energy Audit

In late April 2012, IHFI contracted the Association of Energy Engineers to conduct a comprehensive energy audit of Guyana's Georgetown Public Hospital.  The audit was combined with a training course and workshop for local energy practitioners.
