An overview of the IHFI project, a USAID initiative to improve access and quality of power supplies in health facilities.  In addition to projects in Haiti and Guyana, IHFI is also responsible for the Powering Health website.

A summary of electrical work undertaken through USAID's IHFI project at HUEH hospital in Port-au-Prince.  This electrical work contributed to a comprehensive rehabilitation of the emergency ward, coordinated among various donor organizaitons and local and international contractors.

Haiti Training Presentations, go to Training Materials

In a country-wide assessment completed in October of 2007, SunEnergy Power International and the Energy Team of USAID recommended that the next step for Haiti was to increase their in-country capabilities for proper installation of inverter/battery systems, and provided training in May, 2008.  Presentations from that training sessions are available on the Training Materials page.
